Mid-Coast Maine has been coined “Vacationland” and this historic home is a prime location allowing guests to easily day trip to all the gems like Bar Harbor & Acadia, Booth Bay & Harbor, Owls Head, St. George, Camden, Brunswick, Rockland, Freeport, Belfast, Cape Elizabeth, Portland, Damariscotta, Newcastle, Bristol, Wiscasset, Pemaquid Beach, Phippsburgh, and don’t forget to ferry to Deer Isle and Stonington…too many to list!

Seconds off Route 1 at the same time tucked so comfortably up a grand hillside all evidence of a roadway dissapears. One hour north of Portland and 25 minutes north of Boothbay.

While the home does not have beach access we are only blocks from the mouth of the Medomak River and minutes from both lake and ocean beaches. Beach towels are waiting for you.

Our rolling hills keep you on top of prime foliage viewing.

When at the home, we spent a majority of our time on the porch by the gas fireplace. We also had access to the grill and patio which were fantastic. The homeowners even offered to start a fire for us when we returned home from the wedding. Very easy to communicate with them, and they made sure to introduce themselves as they live on the property as well. If ever in Waldoboro again, I’d definitely stay here!”

“I travel a lot & this is by far the best yet & the description was spot on! The home literally 1 min. off Route 1. Once up a grand hillside all evidence of a major road disappeared, quiet & peaceful, exactly what I needed after a long drive.  The 1st morning I got to relax with coffee before my business stops & the amount of natural light flowing in via floor-to-ceiling windows was heavenly! Downtown is really cute with a river view.  Drip as well as k-cup was available, snacks, water, beer & basic pantry items supplied. All was new except some neat antiques with an awesome Bluetooth Radio in the Parlor.  Bedrooms had spa robes, shower bombs & Body Pillows! I have never had a vacation rental with all that! The bed was perfect & since I spent several nights that wasn’t misperceived from exhaustion. I booked this for myself, my wife couldn’t make it, but she is gonna love this place, the big kitchen & sunny porch when we come to hit Acadia, this place is perfectly distanced for a day drive up.”

🌟 “Myself & 8 of my dearest friends had a great stay in the Victorian. We were way overdue for a friend’s get-together and this listing was a perfect fit! Super clean with laundry in our unit, spacious and beautiful! We felt like royalty 🙂 The village is gorgeous with rolling hills, & a river that flows right out into the ocean. There were artistic touches all over, a kayak & boat launch in the public park (too cold now to use it but we plan on coming back). We thought the location was great for our goals of seeing Rockland, Camden, Belfast, Acadia, Owls Head & Freeport.
The big farmhouse is in a quiet historic district & right off Route 1, without the noise from a major roadway though …total silence! The kitchen was big and bright so cooking the few meals we did was super easy.
The beds were amazing…we all slept so well! They had supplied each bedroom with super soft bath robes, USB-equipped chargers and iPhone cords. Our nightstands had softly scented lotions and reading material that covered the history of Maine & Waldoboro. Overall you can tell Laura is an extremely thoughtful host, covering the little things in abundance. She checked on us several times via text and made sure we knew she was there if we needed anything during our stay. Oh, and when we arrived there were flowers, popcorn, and champagne waiting for us. Really impressed!”
